NFSO Annual Auditions

The NFSO is holding its annual auditions for all orchestral instruments for the 2010-2011 season on August 28th, 2010, in 15 minute blocks starting at 9am. To schedule an audition time please contact Ms. Mary Lou Baker at 850-729-5382. All auditions will be conducted in the Tyler Recital Hall in the J Building located on Northwest Florida State College's Niceville Campus. Please consult the document for audition requirements. Two Decades of Classical Excellence

The Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra (NFSO) is the region's premiere professional symphony and was established in 1987. The NFSO performs in residence at the Mattie Kelly Fine & Performing Arts Center at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, Florida.  A custom orchestra shell, used for NFSO concerts at the center, provides patrons an optimum acoustical experience. The NFSO also performs at special events throughout the region, provides an extensive music education program for area youth, and has a vibrant guild of volunteers who support orchestra endeavors. The NFSO performs under the baton of Jeffrey Rink, who holds the Mattie Kelly Distinguished Endowed Teaching Chair in Orchestral Music and serves as the NFSO's full-time music director and conductor. Discount for Active Duty Military

As a special tribute to those who serve in the US military, the NFSO is pleased to offer a discount ticket rate for active duty military of $16 per ticket to any NFSO concert for tickets purchased at-the-door by a military member showing ID. The box office opens at 6:00 pm the night of the concert for all at-the-door sales, including the new active duty military discount. There is a four ticket limit per person for the military discount.
